Notes:  This slender dwarf Areca is perfect for smaller understory areas of the garden. Has a maroon crownshaft similar to some Basselinia. The name ‘oxycarpa’ refers to the pointed fruit of this species.

Critically endangered – this palm has an extremely limited distribution on a peninsula in North Sulawesi. The area as a whole is experiencing a shocking loss of biodiversity.
