Habitat: Wide distribution through Central and South America

Notes:  Emergent canopy palm with very ornamental dark green plumose leaves and large horn shaped spadices that open into chandelier-like inflorescences. 

Cold Hardiness: Can tolerate some cold, but not freezing. Prefers Tropical / Subtropical Climates
